Succumb to Crunchy Enjoyment – Classical advertising and POS activities

California walnuts are the star of an advertising campaign spearheaded by mk2 on behalf of the California Walnut Commission in Sacramento. Its purpose is to encourage Germans to succumb to the crunchy enjoyment all year round. For spring and summer 2007 six new motifs have been created heralding the versatility of these delicious & healthy nuts. True walnut wellness: Be it light Italian cuisine, with fish and meat or down-to-earth German - California walnuts compliment every cooking style.

In addition to the advertising campaign hundreds of supermarkets offer California walnut brochures directly at the point of sale. Under the title "California Walnut World", the series of sixteen brochures introduces different walnut themes such as "Fusion Cuisine", "Summercooking" or "Gormandizing Recipes". Consumers learn that walnuts are a convenient, delicious and healthy food. The highlight of the brochures, however, are the recipes found inside. They help showing consumers how easy integrating walnuts in their daily eating can be.
